At Mallon Associates, we stand committed to doing our part to continuously improve environmental performance. As we do not have a physical office that we operate, this means adopting internal practices that reduce the consumption of paper, our carbon footprint, and unnecessary waste. Monitoring and measuring these practices is necessary to continuously improve our performance.
Operating Principles and Guidelines
Eliminating Paper
- As most of our work occurs remotely, all communications are electronic, and no paper-based communication currently takes place. All legal documents, policies, and other work-related materials are electronically exchanged, electronically signed, where possible, and stored online. Only when absolutely required will documents be printed and physically stored.
- All Mallon Associates course content, technical documentation, and client requested material, are produced and shared electronically using platforms such as Semlr or Twiki.
- All courses taught, labs conducted, and quizzes administered are done so using online content. Only when required by the client should this material be produced in hard copy.
Reduce Compute Power Consumption
Mallon Associates has been actively reducing any dedicated hardware that it relies upon by migrating its compute services to cloud-based virtualized on-demand infrastructure and service providers. One of the benefits of this move is a more efficient use of power.
Reduce Air Travel
- We currently conduct a significant number of our training engagements remotely. We will continue to strongly support this mode of delivery as long as we meet our client’s objectives.
- We coordinate global activities to various locations, to reduce unnecessary travel, using our geographically distributed team of instructors in the most efficient manner permissible.
- When travel is required, we offset our carbon footprint using miles and book hotels that are environmentally conscious.
Align with Clients
When working with our clients we will adhere to their practices and policies as it relates to the environment and support their efforts in this endeavour.
